If even a single person here thinks that the Canadian province of Alberta could truly become a successful, sovereign republic, they're hopeless.
Look at these:
'Maple Maga', as a term, is used to describe Canadian supporters of the Republican party and Donald Trump. In Alberta, this has another layer: conservatives who want to become shills for American oil companies. Some are too stupid to even realise this, with many focusing on so-called issues such as culture wars, thinking the Federal Government, left wing/centrist population, and other targets are too liberal, too socialist, too communist, too pro-immigration, and etc, even conspiring against them. This directly mirrors the American Republican party, which focuses on similar 'issues'. Often, official support of these groups is carried out by: American companies, American influencers, right-wing extremist groups, the 'Christian' right, and Canadian groups like the People's Party of Canada, far right movements, and et cetera.
Maple Maga, obviously, is the primary supporter of Alberta separatism. They are, when regurgitating this sentiment, nothing more than puppets of the American right wing, and oil companies. If the number of Maple Maga continues to increase, this can put Alberta into political jeopardy. With Danielle Smith, the Premier of Alberta, doing nothing to combat this, and the Trump regime continuing their mindless, barbaric, and imperialist expansionist rhetoric against Canada, this situation is likely to continue to deteriorate.
Not a lot. To be honest, the most a lot of people can do is just stay informed. There isn't a definite solution. This is obviously rather underwhelming to say, but it does seem like the bleak reality. I personally doubt Alberta will ever successfully leave Canada, but it's best to be wary anyways.
